About Photographer John Guild

John Guild studied art as a young man with a focus on painting. He later earned a second degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. The urge to unite his early artistic endeavors with his engineering skills eventually led him to photography as a creative outlet. John maintains his day job as an engineer while being husband, a father, a son, a brother, a friend, a lamb of God; working his art between the cracks of life. About Joe DiPaulo

and Stone Mason of Spring

Joe DiPaulo’s first realization that he was destined to be a pool builder, garden and landscaper was when all of his friends in elementary school were reading Mad Magazine and comic books while he preferred Better Homes and Gardens. At age 10 with his father’s help, who was himself a master builder from Italy, he embarked on designing and constructing a patio and garden in his own backyard. Two years later the project was completed. To his surprise, at such a young age he received accolades and praise. That spurred him, on, with the encouragement of his teachers, to pursue a career in art and construction. At the time he was refurbishing historic buildings in Baltimore, MD an old fraternity brother beckoned him to work with him in The Woodlands, TX doing masonry on swimming pools that he designed. That has brought him to the here and now as owner of Stone Mason of Spring. After designing and constructing 800 plus garden and poolscapes in the past thirty years he finds myself at the top of his game. Our pool company designs and constructs projects using an in house team of artisans. We have an 800 ton rock gallery, a two acre nursery and use all of their own equipment to complete a project with the use of minimal subcontractors. We approach every project as a work of art and Joe personally oversee every step to ensure that it meets the highest standard of excellence. Joe and the team stand ready to field a request to create magic, for that is our sole goal. Many companies want to boast about pushing the envelope but for Stone Mason of Spring that is our life’s blood. Our reason for creating. No two projects are ever the same and we work hand in hand with all of our clients on every detail to create for them an oasis and refuge from everyday life. A vacation destination in their own backyard. We do not consider ourselves as merely “pool builders” we think of ourselves as the creators of dreams and the architects of enchantment.
